26th April – 14th May 2025
Curated by the Jerram Gallery, this exhibition showcases paintings by a selection of 14 contemporary artists. Please get in touch if you wish to receive a catalogue.
“The exhibition takes a journey through the realm of still life and interior scenes, giving a fresh perspective on the spaces we inhabit and the objects we cherish. This collection of paintings from fourteen artists showcases their unique ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, revealing hidden stories and unexpected beauty in everyday surroundings.
In the still life compositions, these artists explore the subtle interplay between carefully arranged objects. Exploring the use of light, colour and composition, the pictures encourage viewers to pause and appreciate the quiet elegance of familiar items.
Balancing the serene stillness of the still life paintings, the interior scenes create a contrast with the energy of daily life. These works offer a glimpse into intimate spaces, each room telling its own story leading to the hidden narratives that might unfold beyond partially opened doors.
Both subjects allow the viewer to connect with the artist’s personal interpretation of objects and spaces. This exhibition invites us to rediscover the beauty in our surroundings, encouraging a renewed appreciation for the simple joys and moments that go unnoticed in our busy lives”
